In the ‘Foreword’ for this book, Prof. Tirtha P. Mishra, Ph. D., Executive Director of CNAS writes, “Perhaps this book is the first of its kind that tells the story of location and identification of the ancient settlements of the Valley on the basis of legends, chronicles, inscriptions and historical documents belonging to the pre-Lichchhavi period and the Malla period.
